What's everyones take on all these Job posts that you need your JAL to get the job?
I think it's fine because I'm certain there are guys that read this forum/work in Canada who have JAR licenses. And if it gives one of them an opportunity than great.
But I do get kinda sick of seeing them. How many times do we need to see SD360 captains for northern Europe are needed? Or that there is a chance for an A320 f/o with 500 TT and 300 on type? Doesn't really apply to many of us in Canadian aviation.

Why do you think that it's so hard to get started here in Canada? Supply/Demand? I'm born and raised in Canada but would seriously consider moving to Euope for those types of flying oppertunities. One of the reasons that I started flying was to "work my way up" I think that there is ample time in a persons career to get to the big ones. I think that because of the way aviation is run in Canada we produce some of the best skilled pilots in the world.

100% agreement here Rudy. A job I could actually apply for gets posted and later that day it's already on page 2 because of 30 oversees jobs posted that require wide body type ratings.Rudy wrote:They should be split into Job Ads and Overseas Job Ads posting areas. The international ones will still be there for the guys with 300 hours and Airbus type ratings.
