Post by 'effin hippie »

Anyone care to mention how much Tindi is paying their 200 Capts these days?

Thanks in advance, PM's are fine.

Sched is quite stable, lots of crews, usually 10 days off a month. Not a lot of flying involved, good machines. Pay is a little over 60g's.

Depends if you started at Tindi from the ramp and worked your way up you get 55-60k but if you have instructing time in a 172 who knows you might be able to get 80k now.

Oh Ground speed ...easy

Post by HighBypass »

Hey Groundspeed youd better check your attitude at the peverbial Avanada "door"! Just because you make less then a guy with 172 pic time doesn't mean you have to be all bitter because you were rotting in the right seat in some lonely cold place while some other guy is building valuable PIC time in some worm-burner 172 in the center of the universe!

Maybe you should get some pic experience before you start shooting your mouth off on here and slamming the way air tindi is chosing their captains eh? Ive had enough of reading comments form guys like you, i pity the poor soul who has to fly with you "if and when" you become a captain one day.

Have a nice day.....NOT!!

Hey Highbypass just because your some hack that couldnt seal the deal with a 2 dollar hooker dosen't mean you need to come on avcanada and give me a speach about bad mouthing companys. I was only poking fun at a well known fact about the current hiring trend of this company. The guys that work here all understand what I was getting at.

P.S. who was the 250lb local you gave a ride home on Friday night. Maybe you should change your name to CAMP FIRE or RED MEAT you slimeball.

The reason for that is that I only had $2 US on me & the hooker want'd 2.01 due to the exchange rate............I was so close to closing the deal too :P

slinging mud

Post by HighBypass »

Hey Godsrcrazy, your crazy! And ya, learn how to proof read for crying out loud.
I'll sling as much mud as i want, plus i dont have time for reading my old posts, cause im too busy writing new ones. I dont live in the past like some people. I dont sling mud at companies, just guys like groundspeed who have no respect for 172 time.

And you groundspeed, I find your comments both rude, and implying racism, so I think you should be removed from Avcanada without warning. Maybe JC can do that. Calling me a Hack!! If you were a saw, you'd be a HACKSAW!

Enough said.

Bypass I never said instructing time was no good you did when you slammed me for having pic in a 172. I happen to believe instructing is much better time then flying around the north and the best thing I have to look forward to at the end of a long day is posting on Avcanada.

You live a sad life Bypass and I honestly feel sorry for everyone in your life having to deal with such ignorance. I wasn't being racist I happen to be half aboriginal thank you very much. Maybe you should check your attitude at the door all I was saying was a simple fact about a company well known for there current hiring practices. If you care to bicker some more like a imature child feel free to PM me.Spare everyones time and get a life.

You are entitled to have any opinion you wish, but please explain why instructing is better time than northern time?

I am at a loss to understand how you come to that conclusion.

The most difficult thing about flying is knowing when to say no.

After over a half a century of flying I can not remember even one trip that I refused to do that resulted in someone getting killed because of my decision not to fly.

When did I slam you for having PIC 172 time?? You see, your facts are convoluted just like your flying skills. How can you say that flying around in a tin can down south is more valuable then around the territories in a turbo prop... im sure almost everyone reading this lives in YZF and is gonna disagree with you. Especially Godsrcrazy... hes deffinetly a yellowknifer.

And BTW i told you to check your attitude at the door so dont use my line against me, thats so lame.

I can answer that...I've worked both as an instructor & up north....the answer is simple.

- After a long day at work instructors can go out to the bar & hang out with a cute girl (if they can afford the beer)
- After a long day of work a guy up north can go out to the bar & hang out with a girl with 10 bastard kids & most of her teath.

Notice the difference?

What the creature you are humping looks like makes no difference if you are either drunk or have the presence of mind to turn the lights out.

I have found out that works just fine no matter what part of the globe you are on.

Oh bypass you are the dude that i want to be when i grow up. It seems that you defend everyone you work for (at the time).

If you want to sling mud at least be big enough to do it consistent. It appears that you protect who ever you work for at the time and slam the rest. It would not be hard to figure out who you are if i still lived in the knife. By just waisting my time reading your old posts its not hard to figure out where you have been and who you are.

OH ya i do read old posts. Why do i waist my time doing that rather then typing new posts. To see if people like you have any idea what you are saying.

If you think you can slam someone like groundspeed about slamming others maybe you should take the time to read your old your old posts that you typed when you were highbypassed. It would save face from when you are using spell check because you are to highbypassed to be on the ground.

Just to be clear i like Tindi and the Arychuk family. They run a good show just like all the companies in the knife. Arychuks deserve retirement over the next couple of years they worked dam hard for it. By that I mean selling to Discovery air.

I haven't met to many instructors that could get a cute girl to talk to them...... even if they could afford to buy a beer!

BYPASS i was a yellowknifer a for years. I do read and watch what happens up there only to calm my old sick mind. Once a northener always a northener i say. I think the only owner i have not met is the new owners of summit and i will never comment on them as i have never met (Him Her Them Whatever)

Personely when i got my ticket those who were teaching me had tons of time and they went to instructing to stay home. Unfortunatly most people instructing today do it to build time and they cant get a job elsewere. Not that they cant fly just over the last few years there have been jobs for low timers. All most all did not do it because they love the industry and have tons of time and knowledge to pass on. One would have to question how someone with 1000 hrs in the circut have the knowledge it would take to stay alive in the bush,

Saying that MOT and most other authorities dont want you to learn from a instructor. This is why they have CARS. Just hide behind CARS this is all you need to know.
