It will have considerable rarity value!

Someone mentioned this aircraft type the other day, I can't remember the context but it seemed the type was not popular as a trainer.

I'll ask around...

Talk to Mike Lupunik. He has one in Dunnville tha last I heard. This plane was the only type flown by both sides in WWII. Apparently France had 130 of them and when they were over run they got different paint jobs and got pointed the other way.

Isn't a Yale just a fixed gear Harvard? BTW, according to the CF website, the French ones ended up in the RCAF!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think a Yale has a smaller engine than a harvard and was used for radio operator training among other things. On a side note I think there is one in Wetaskiwin at the Reynolds Museum/Aviation hall of fame

I was curious and found out that the French ordered 230 of them and the first 111 end up with the German airforce. The remaining undelivered ones were diverted to the RCAF. Check out the Tiger Boys web site. it's quite informative.

yale 64

yes i knew about the 230 ordered and the nazi's taking some of them and the remainder sent back to rcaf. thanks for the info. i guess what makes them really rare are ones that were returned from france with 0 or little a/f hours. and the number of produced also make it a rare machine!
