Last year was too easy.TheCheez wrote:Haz the bigger teams make it a lot harder to pick up talent from the "unsigned" pool. Kinda sucks if you drafted poorly.
The, "stacked" teams will not always be the best...

How are the points awarded? Is there a breakdown somewhere? What are G's,A's, PPG's, SO's, PIM's etc. each worth? I assume it's set a certain way. Cheers, the BCB's
Its based on rank
Team with most goals gets 12? points. It was 12 last year anyway probly 10 this year if thats how many guys are playing. 2nd most gets 11 etc etc
Every stat displayed is ranked like that including PIMs and powerplay/SHG. I dont think SOG is counted though its displayed for some reason.
The best team will have the most (or least in the case of goalie stats) in each category.
Give it a week or two to sort out before you do anything drastic.

Thanks Cheez. We're new to the pool so we were hoping we could have things explained a bit. The points don't mean much in competing if you don't know what they're being awarded for. Can we assume then if your team has least PIM's you get 10 points, least SOG's 10 pts, lowest save % 1 pt....etc.etc. We're guessing from your explanation that's how it works. A simple 'yup' from the commish will suffice. Everything based on '10's for the number of teams competing?
Ok try this.
When you're on the league page, click full standings. The first table is how many points each team is getting from every category. The second table is the actual totals for each category. .5 is from two teams being tied. I was wrong, it is 12 points for top rank.
Then the standings are just a sum of the points.

No worries.
It took me half of last season to figure it out haha!
Also you should note that each roster spot is limited to X(82 probably) number of games. So if you have, in an extreme example, 10 LWers and rotate them through 3 spots every night your games will dry up early and the stats will stop counting before the end of the season.

Goalies....2x82games?
3 centres, 6 wingers, 6 defence...all x 82 games, no problem. 2 Goalies x 82 is 164 (160 for us Scots.....we always round down). Just wondering if both goaltending spots then get 82 games, or if once you reach 82 goalie appearances total yer done. Very important to know. Thnx in advance Cheeze....I'd say a pitcher is coming your way at years end.
Yep you get 82 for each slot which makes 164 goalie games.
On the My Team tab, look at the bottom in small print on the left side theres a link for Maximum games. This will tell you exactly where you stand for all positions. Looks like they upgraded that feature a bit this year with the projected totals.
