harvsair

Post by flyingreg38 »

hi guys

i've some questions about harvsair's professional pilot course (from 0 hours to a CPL Multi IR):

what's difference between this course and a modular CPL Multi IR ?

what's advantages and inconvenients of a such course ?

can students who have prepared CPL with this course give some details and explain steps of it ?

Harvsair sell it for about 35000$, with aerobatic and taildragger experience if i'm right... Do you think it's correct ?

thanks

I used to instruct at Harv's...

Decent school depending on the instructor you get... if you want some names PM me.

that quoted price remember is based on just flying the minimum hours and I found in my experience most people for their private take about an extra 10-15hrs of flying and multi and IFR can take an extra 10hrs combined... and possibly a few more hours of SIM. Add all those up and you get an pretty accurate picture you how much it will really cost you.

One nice advantage with Harv's is the living accomodations... you can rent a single room from them situated right at the airport so you don't need a car to get around. Your able to borrow the school's car for a nominal rate to go get groceries and someone from the school will pick you up and drop you off at the internation airport.

Steinbach is a half decent town and has all the amenities that you'd need. St. Andrews I'm not too familiar with but I think its a few more dollars an hour for an aircraft and the living expenses are a little higher.

For the multi and IFR you do get a decent chance to do some learning from Harv himself... hes got well over 20,000hrs and a great wealth of knowledge.

The one drawback from harv's is that there isn't a great deal of people pushing you to keep up the pace... you need to make sure your a self motivated person to keep the pace of your training going.

Good luck!

I can vouch for Harv's , it's great. St. Andrews is much better though.

What Krashman said, I used to instruct at both locations, each has its perks and disadvantages.

Any Questions feel free to PM me.
