I sold my last airplane in June and when my airplanes had C of A's on them I paid Nav Canada fees.O.k boys and girls no one has answered whether they pay the 77 or not. Cat do you have any Canadian registered A/c I operate mine in uncontrolled airspace vfr around home. I look outside and if its a beauty day I go for a scenic flight and take along someone new each time so they can experience flying. I have not paidd my $77.00 fee in two years and am not planning to anyonr else? Hedley how about you?
At this point in time I have no real idea what your level of service is in Canada compared to other countries as I have not flown commercially in Canada since 1996.They are making a much safer country to fly in. If you don't think so why don't you go fly in another country and find out how bad it is, I have. Trust me the Canadian system is FAR superior to other countries.
No problem, I have nothing to do at the moment. Thanks Catdriver I knew I could count on you for a reply!
But half the time they leave the gate at the bottom of the stairs open and you could wander up, in complete violation of security regulations.hifliers wrote:In CYOJ, citing security regualtions, one cannot even go up to see the FSS guy. And they thought they were lonely before....
With the advent of FIC's there is no longer an "operational requirement" for pilots to access an FSS. Therefore, many revisions ago, our manuals were revised to state that visitors must be approved by the manager, and somebody must be available to escort said visitor (so as not to distract the person actually on the job). You obviously encountered people who read the manuals.hifliers wrote:In CYOJ, citing security regualtions, one cannot even go up to see the FSS guy. And they thought they were lonely before....
