Kenora de-ice
Can someone please tell me what type of de-ice/anti-ice fluid is offered at Kenora airport?
I phoned the FBO (who provides de-ice according to the airport website) but the guy working there doesn't know.
Thanks,
John

What are you flying? Let me know when you hit town, and we can arrange to stuff it in our hangar overnight. If it's a G3, you're on your own. Very rarely do we require de-ice this time of year.
Re: Kenora de-ice
Thanks, Doc, for the offer but we're going to try to get fuel and get home. We're a C550 on a (hopefully) quick turn Sunday morning (sat night) around 2:30am (ugh).
The guy at FBO said they have de-ice, but didn't know if he was Type I, II, III, IV... He said mostly smaller, prop-driven aircraft use the fluid, but that doesn't tell us much - looking for first-hand knowledge if anyone has some.
Thanks again,
John

Does the FBO even know what kind of fuel they sell? C'mon!!Johnny wrote: The guy at FBO said they have de-ice, but didn't know if he was Type I, II, III, IV... the taste test never fails!
kidding aside, even asking him what colour it is might help

Phoned today, got a different guy from the FBO - it's Type I, in case anyone else is wondering.
Thanks to all for the replies.
