Anyone Interested in IFR Groundschool....

Post by CYXDSTUD »

Anyone interested in IFR Ground-school in the Edmonton area please feel free to call up the Edmonton Flying Club at (780) 454-4531 and leave your name and contact info with the dispatcher or you can pm me with your info. The course consists of approximately 40 hours of ground instruction for the purpose of preparing you for the IFR written examination (INRAT). The pass mark for the exam is 70%. Pre-requisites for the exam are that you must hold a valid pilots licence and current medical certificate, and that you have at least 20 hours of instrument time. The instrument time can be a combination of ground and airtime. Due to the nature of my work, which is rotational, I will only be available for a three-week period at a time and then am away for three weeks. What this means is that for those of you that are serious about the course we would need to meet every weekday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. We may also need to meet on a Saturday or Sunday for an 8-hour class. (Likely 9-5). If this will not work for you then I cannot be much more flexible should you miss a class or two. I look forward to seeing you soon. The next course date will be starting Monday Jan 28th at 6 p.m. at the Edmonton Flying Club. (Bldg 18 at City Centre Airport). I will contact everyone when I am back in town on the 25th. Course Cost is $425.00

Take care.
