Sorry to all of those flight crews and engineers affected. Many good King Air jobs in Alberta. PM me for details about the above average King Air Captain jobs we have immediately available.

Is this serious? The NACair? As in NAC based in YQT? Bloody awful news. I know I poke fun at you guys, but this really sucks.
Did I just get sucked in? Gawd, I hope so.

Sorry to all the displaced people. It is never fun dealing with a company going under. At least the industry is good right now and most people should be able to find jobs. I know there are companies out there that would be more than happy to have a PC-12 FO with some time.

Embrace the opportunity and find something better!

NAC pilots:

As per a previous post...the best thing that ever happened for me in my career was the company I worked for going bankrupt. Things will work out as they should, so drink up and enjoy the experience of having all of your pilots in the same pub at the same time gettin loaded !

Best of luck to all of you !

The smart ones will be in their cars tonight headed to YYC. Get there for breakfast, you'll have a job by lunch. Forget the pup...GO. The early bird gets the worm. Tuck your PPC in your pocket and GO!

So other than Sprint, Bravo, Wasaya (?) looking - who else might be looking for experienced PC12 drivers?
Lets help these guys/gals out.
Times sure are good right now though, I'm sure most, if not everyone will be able to find something. Now might be your chance to get that job closer to home/friends/family that some of you may have hesitated taking in the past.

Good luck!

Any NAC pilots may PM me at anytime for recruiting. We have immediate openings, or may be able to defer dates if you need time to absorb the situation, and some booze.

I'm really sorry about the shutdown, I loved my time there, and great people to work with.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Things could be a Hell of a lot worse. There's bobm, and now quickflight. Two guys right here on this forum, opening their doors to the NAC drivers. I know there are jobs out west as well. You guys/girls will be just fine. It's aviation. It's always changing. Like the wind. It's like a big bloody job fair. Up for grabs, several King Air and PC12 drivers...time on type...PPC'd on type. You guys have to post here when you find something.
An interesting thought. If NAC tries to start up again.....good luck getting drivers. There just won't be any. Nice hangar, though.

Its just another case of the classic expand too fast open new bases without researching the markets carefully, key personel not in place to effectivly manage / oversea it. It's never a good time to lose your job. But the situation in industry right now is really going to help these guys and girls find new work. Most of the 703/4 operators are desperate for pilots at the moment. I think most have been mentioned already. Almost all of them offer better salaries than NAC ever did.

Bravo
Thunder
Sprint
Wasaya
North Star
Northern Air Solutions
RCMP
Nakina may need a guy soon.

Lots of oppurtunities out there at the moment. Good Luck to all.

I think most of the pilots are gonna be just fine and like some people mentioned, it could end up being the best thing that happened to them (I was forced out of my last job as well and now couldn't be happier!)

But I'm thinking about the guys on the ramp. Correct me if I'm wrong, but NAC had pilot-rampies did they not? If there's one thing worse than working the ramp, it's the time and money sacrificed on the ramp only to end back at square one with no flight time. My condolences to all those hard working rampies who were promised great things. It's always a gamble in this industry!

Also, were the captains bonded? If so, I hope that all gets worked out. I too have been cheated out of my rightful money. It sucks!

Best of luck out there.

Among the other reasons this is why you don't buy your job. I don't think this is the situation at NAC

I hear that Fast Air in YWG is looking for King Air guys also. I went there off the PC-12 and since I was so awesome, they might consider guys without too much multi. They are one of the best 703 operators out there, and are not just about Northern flying. They don't pay quite as much as Air Bravo, but you won't wish you were dead either.
