Rental Cars

Post by drjet320 »

Greetings all. Is there a way to find out which rental car companies give AC Employees airline rates? I am planning a trip to Ireland next month and will need a vehicle. Cheers!

Go to ACaeronet, "my life" page. You'll see an employee discount section half way down the page. Avis gives us a pretty good deal.

I use National they give you a % of the best rate. All the others have a special airline rate thats always more than the current best rate. Avis is most promoted by the company but is actually the highest rates.

Whiteguy. Do you just ask for their best rate or do you have to tell them who you work for? I'm going to need one soon too. Just shopping around.

Just used Hotwire.com to track down a price. Then called cheapest company directly and they knocked off a couple of more. Enterprise at LAX for $130 for a full size for a week, everything included, unlimited mileage. Seemed cheap enough for us without the negotiating hassle...

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I've always asked for the best rate and then told them I'm airline and they take the % off. I've used the AVIS code on the website and phone and the rates are terrible.

Fox for certain locations in USA and Canada has some unreal rates.

An AC pilot put me onto them and he's got a promotion code as well. I don't have it on me right now (internet cafe) but PM me and I'll see if I can locate it.

$75.50 for a week out of LAX ($87.90 full size.)

I've seen lots for $7 to $15.00 per day.

Try priceline and put in a bid. I have found rentals for 9 to 13 bucks a day!
