quick question for getting an interview at WJ..
What is more important time for getting a possible wj interview : right seat in a 727 or multi pic like captain on a beech 1900 ? . I just talked to a friend of mine and we both have different opinions . So we are just wondering what the general view on this is . thanks..

I would say right seat on the 27, they stopped or reduced hiring 1900 drivers except CMA and Georgian folks.

That depends... how much PIC you got above 12,5?

I agree... the only time PIC isn't important, is if you have lots.

I have no PIC above 12500, nor did alot of guys that were hired...IMHO go for the jet. Or call Dave P and just ask him.

I certainly don't speak for Dave and the pilot selection group, but I do wonder how much difference command below 12500 vs above makes. Whereas I can tell you that from a training standpoint a guy without the heavy command but with good 705 type experience will tend to do better in the training, than a guy that has flown a bigger turboprop but not in a real 'airline' type of environment.
Consider either the phone call as suggested, or maybe DaveP can clarify that here, as it seems to be a common question.
The other question is do you have lots of potential recommends, or where would you potentially make more? That would be a big asset as well.

thanks for all the replies . In the long run , a lot of it depends on the current state of the industry i guess. I appreciate all the input. Time will tell . but it sure would be nice to go to Wj . Thanks again.... Lots to consider now .....
