This Looks Much Better

Post by F-16 »

Well,

I don't know about the rest of you, but the new AC livery was starting to grow on me bit by bit, especially seeing it in different light, until i stumbled across this picture...

I don't know what you all think. I had heard a rumour on the jazz rj's of having a maroon and grey interior, and I think that would've been pretty cool with the livery on the link provided.

Oh well, just a pre-bed time post i guess.

Cheers. sleepy

Wow! That first one is really cool! But how much extra do you think that would cost?

Wow, I really like the new paint scheme...But then again, do these people not learn? They don't have the capital to spend on this kind of marketing. I can't remember now, but I once heard how expensive it was to paint an aircraft that size. I know to get a Cessna 150 painted professionally, it costs about $10 000, that's almost half the cost of the aircraft itself.

that said... (and like i know)... is it only the tails being painted? looks like they could get away with it to achieve the new livery.

Nope, the entire Aircraft is being painted. It's a metallic type of paint that is officially supposed to be a Silver White and shine in the sun, however, under cloud/dark skies it looks like a very very pale green.

check this out:

Look where the spotlights are - that is kind of what it will look like under light, versus, the dark areas

Lots of money to paint but if the unions dont make concessions then we go bankrupt. I don’t think the saying same shit different pile has ever been more fitting.

I don't get it.

They've already painted a few aircraft in the 'colgate' green. Are they changing the color again? Or was the black/red scheme one of the original ideas.

at least they are smart enough to do concept photos before actually painting a real a/c. The first one is ugly, to dark. I think they should stick with the base white.
