Blackberry flightplanning?

didn't know where to put this thread, but anyway.

does anyone know if there are any (flightplanning / W&B) software out there for blackberry's? I have the pearl (//edited by Lil ). Can't find much on google. Hate carrying around two phones, and a palm. The less i have the less I lose.

Haven't had a crackberry in a while so my info may be dated. There's some software apps that can run excel spreadsheets on a RIM rig. Cook up your software in excel and run them on your phone.

I've used an ipaq running Pocket PC in the past for flightplanning and w&b. The latest and greatest I'm after is a HTC p5520 smart phone to do everything; music, excel, email, and talking.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but as a side note. i got a pearl(//edited by Lil) the other day and i've heard you can use it as a modem for your laptop. I've looked through the books, and couldn't find anything. could be nice to bypass paying for wireless in the terminal.

It'll likely be slow as hell, and very costly.

Remember the thread on here about the guy getting charged... 85,000 dollars was it? for using his cellphone with his laptop.

I have an unlimited internet access on my phone for a staggering 15 bucks a month. I could believe it back in the day when they'd charge per page and time. This phone is ruining my life. It has a facebook interface, and blockbreaker. I've seen a poker download, this could be the end of me.

sissyphus read your agreement that is for using the phones built in browser, NOT, repeat NOT as a modem. I happen to manage 139 blackberries and get a 600page bill from Roger's each month as well as Bell, Telus, Verizon, T-Mobel and a few others. Read your agreement! That is all I am saying.

Thats what happened to the guy in the news article I read about. He had unlimited browsing on his phone. Not unlimited use-your-phone-as-a-modem deal.

Nothing for free anyway, Universal Weather and ArincDirect both have Blackberry versions, but both are pay sites and are aimed at larger fleets. FltPlan.com apparently has some use, however is not formatted for Blackberry specifically and therefore not all features are available.
