Oldest Westjet new hire..
I'm changing direction due to physical demands in the bush flying arena. I'm going to do the multi-IFR this year. I'm 42. How old can you be and still be considered at Westjet? I've got over 5000 hours PIC, and a clean record.

Hi Wreckage.
I was hired by WJ at the age of 42. I'm aware of one fellow that was hired at the age of 60. From reading your post I gather you have no IFR time. This will be a bigger stumbling block than your age. They want you to have time on aircraft over 12,500 I think. That may be a few yrs down the road for you.
Hope that helps to answer your question.

It is my belief that the oldest hire was 60 years young when hired. He is currently sharing his humour, experience and stories with many of us.
