Hi all
I'm looking for any canadian AME that has gone through the process of writing the European EASA part 66 B1 licence. I will be in France for a period of 6 months and I am looking for advise on how to proceed. I would like to write if possible in France. I know 6 months probably isn't enough to cover all the exams but I would like to at least get the ball rolling and write a few exams.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: AME to EASA part 66 B1
I just got back from Holland. I think your best bet is to go to the school is Scotland due to the fact that they gaurentee success and its in english. The problem with the easa license is the type ratings. They are part of your license sort of like the old AME license (I think). If your a connie may as well skate on your cdn license, and not worry about signing anything and make good money. As a full timer hourly guy I think it would be pretty hard to make ends meet. The dutch licensed guys say 2-5yr experiance are only grossing 2900 a month which is stupid, then take out their taxes and the cost of living over there. Have fun in France, I miss europe already.

Hey BombardierFixer,
Back from Europe already! How did you like the Dutch, I went to Amsterdam twice last year, it's a crazy city!!
Thanks for the info! I'm going to look into it. Got a bit of info from PPRUNE forum also.
Cheers
