Whats the weirdest thing you have seen on final?

Turned onto final for 31 at Bella Bella one summer day in a Goose. There seemed to be more seagulls than I've ever seen before flying over the dump. There were like thousands. As I got closer I realized that they were actually thousands of pages of newspaper. I flew through them, almost reading the headlines as I went by, wondering if I had finally lost my mind. The best I can figure is that someone threw a stack of papers on the fire and the fire blew them hundreds of feet in the air.
But for a few moments I honestly thought that my marbles had escaped.

I also remember the grossest thing that I ever saw on final. Flying a 185 into YYE on summer day, the runway was green, and slightly moving. As I landed, I could hear the crunch of the grasshoppers over the engine! The runway was completely covered in the little green creatures.

A dropzone just west of Edmonton, there was hawks all over one day. A specific one was perched on a hay bail just of the rwy. The hawk flustered up every time I went by and seemed aggressive about it. After a couple approaches of this he flew out in front and stopped in my path. I'd set down already and hit him with the right wing. Killed him, it was really strange

I thought at first it was a baby moose chasing behind it's mother but quickly realized it was a big ass black wolf chasing a lame moose. The moose ran into a shallow swampy area and the wolf stopped at the water's edge.

The wolf was still standing there when I took off, playing the waiting game with the moose. My passengers didn't believe me when I pulled up to the dock and told them what I'd just seen, but 10 minutes later they had the pictures to show the boyz back home in Iowa.

Fourth of July/Canada Day weekend time last year, on final approach to runway 30 at Hamilton, advised by tower that there had been fireworks observed in the vicinity of the threshold of runway 30.

As we descended below 1000' AAE, they started again, coming from the vicinity of the go-kart track. As we descended lower it was apparent that if we stayed on the VASIS we would fly either very close to them or even through the fireworks, so the PIC told me(I was flying) to maneuver around them, which was at around 200' AAE.

Wildest thing I've ever seen myself.

Landed and told the YHM tower where the 'incoming fire' was located; they called the RCMP.

The approach to Phuket Int'l Rwy 09 is over the sea, accross the beach. There is a herd of about 20 Water Buffalo that hang out sunning themselves and admiring the bikinis.
