Hello,
I would like to know if any opinions about working dock/ramp in Vancouver for low timer? Any to avoid? Is pay ok to move and live in Vancouver?
Much appreciated!

I don't think that any are to be avoided, BUT, don't be expecting very much either. Baxter does hire from the dock, the others I can't say. Pay will be low, cost of living is pretty high, you will probably have to find a few roomies unless you are financially independant. There are probably a few of those types of places around, but I can't give you any names, sorry.
Best of luck.

You need to find a dock job with a company that has smaller aircraft you can gain experience on. A company that does camp checks in a Cub or 180.
Odds are slim to none that you will end up in a Beaver on floats on the Westcoast as your first float job. And if it does happen, it'll probably take you 5-10 years before you find yourself el capitaine.
Go north young man...if you really want to do it, you'll stick it out and work your way up. Two years in the north builds character. Unfortunately there's no short cuts for honest work ethic pilots.
