Total compensation statement
Anyone else get one of these recently? Good info but me thinks they're trying to make us believe we are getting paid more than we think.
Re: Total compensation statement
I also love the "Lets Talk" booklet. Obviously AC doesn't exist west of YWG.tonysoprano wrote:Anyone else get one of these recently? Good info but me thinks they're trying to make us believe we are getting paid more than we think.

"You know that $18K you got paid last year? It was actually $25K when you factor in all your benefits and overtime. Aren't you glad you made $25K last year?"
Too bad I just did my taxes and know exactly how much I made. Guess they figure we all have short memories or something.

Pilotbzh: Are you really that hard done by at Air Canada? What, 3 years ago you were flying a Beech 1900 around. Certainly it's not so long ago that you've forgotten how good you have it now? All you seem to do is complain about your new job and how much you want to wipe your butt with different things. If you're so hard done by already why don't you quit and work for Transat or something? I can understand some of the older guys having a chip on their shoulders, but are you even off probation yet? You're certainly not off flat salary. Maybe you just like to come on here and talk a big game, but it's getting old fast.
Re: Total compensation statement
Never said I'm hard done by Air Canada, I love it, it's a good job, but I'd like to see improvement on work condition and pay. I Just don't like to see money wasted on poor attempt from management to prepare negotiations.... then to hear that there is no money for the pilots while Management bonuses skyrocketed....

pilotbzh,
the time you spend bitching and complaining here could be spent making friends with a bar of soap and a scrub brush.

You will be hard pressed to find anyone on the property that disagrees with that.

It's interesting to note what we pay for the pension. Not bad when you consider the return on your investment. Look for this to be a potential sticky issue in '09.
