Northern Ont?

Hi All

Looking for a little advice..... we`re considering a move to northern Ontario, probably Timmins. My wife is from that area and has a lot of family there. We have been in Calgary for about 8 years and are tired of the city life and would like to raise our two small kids nearer to some family. My flying career never really took off mainly due to financial reasons, as I soon discovered that you cant raise a family on peanuts.

Now nearly a decade later we have some serious equity in our house and a move to northern ontario will offer us some financial freedom. I`m thinking that if I spend the next year getting current maybe I should have another shot at it. Does anyone know of any operators that have pilots based in Timmins for a start, and are they going to be interested in a low time 30ish year old guy. Does this sound like a viable plan or is this just pure fantasy on my part?

Commercial Aviation (but not sure if there's still a pilot base in YTS)

There's also Bearskin but no base in Timmins and they don't take low timers.

Commercial pulled out of Timmins on Feb 15th and moved op's back to Kapuskasing. Air Bravo is in their old hangar now!
