Ok folks, as i mentioned earlier I'm moving to Ottawa. I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions for decent watering holes, pubs, near the "little italy" part of the city? I'm moving over there next week, and am pretty sure I'm gonna need a drink!! (i have to drive the ENTIRE length of the 401)

It's been awhile since I've been drinking in Ottawa; but when I did, the Heart & Crown was one of my favs.

If you're willing to travel a bit from the Preston area, there's a selection on Bank St, and Elgin St (By Ward Market Area)

When I used to be in Ottawa regularly, I enjoyed Pub Italia - http://www.pubitalia.ca/ - great atmosphere, and usually the music is pretty good. Very unique - it's an Irish pub that serves real Italian food as well.

hedley.. I'm female.. I'm not gonna be going to Hull to "party" anytime soon.
I know the 401 isn't the most eficient way to go (pardon the spelling, but the guys took me out for "good bye" drinks.. I can't honestly tell you which way is up at the moment) But it is the quickest. That asside.. I'm looking for somwhere that I can call my "usual hunt" in the area.

Thanks folks!! I'm gonna try and find Pub Italia, it looks like somewhere I'd like to go for a pint. Also thanks for the tip on the pizza joint.. I'm going to be living off of takeout for the first week untill I move all my gear down. The best way to find good food.. word of mouth.
