82K for a Ho Driver!! Excellent
Very Nice, I like
Re: 82K for a Ho Driver!! Excellent
Ya, sounds like a good gig.
To get a guy with 5g hours to go back on a piston twin I guess they would have to pay that much.

Excellent. I'm surprised we don't see more people willing to pay the little bit of extra cash for the higher time guys. I guess this is for a corporate gig keeping the "important" people safe I see. They'll probably get the higher time guy they're looking for and he'll probably end up staying there for a number of years. In the end it will save this company money for sure.

don't worry whiteguy, I'm sure they'll be getting resumes from 'volunteers'...
I'm actually curious as to the 5000hr requirement, I can't see that being an insurance requirement (way too high) but more of a comfort thing. To attract that kind of time, I would think advertising a lifestyle as opposed to a salary would benefit them more to get someone back into a ho. Unless they're gonna fly the lucky winners bag off seven days a week, in which case they may not be able to pay enough. That being said, I'm sure some out there would be happy to join the team, and I don't mean that negatively. Some people love to fly, which is great, as long as they demand proper compensation for it so the rest of us who do it as a living don't have to find different jobs...

Hmmmm...Pilots salary is 1/3 to 1/5 times the value of the aircraft...Just imagine???
When a pilot makes a mistake...the pilot dies.
When an air traffic contoller makes a mistake...the pilot dies.

In the corporate world is not about the value of the airplane is all about the Value of the Executives and personnel that are travelling onbord the airplane.
Re: 82K for a Ho Driver!! Excellent
Right - it's funny how pilots are all obsessed about
comparing their equipment on their ramp - bigger
equipment is always implies bigger success.
I think this could be a great gig for some older guy,
who doesn't want to earn $24k/yr in the right seat
of some clapped out turbine twin.

The scrambled eggs are under the hat.
"What's it doing now?"

Some, at 5000 hours, are 737 captains...
It depends on what profile they want. For a bush pilot, not willing to fly for the airlines, 82000 K thats ok.
For the others, 82000 will never stop them to leave as soon as they have enough multi time to fly a jet.
However... with the economy downturn, many pilot will be happy to secure this kind of position.
37000 K to fly a jet with air Canada....
