End of the world - again.
http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2008 ... afety.html
Two protons colliding at high speeds.
Black hole is formed.
Time ends, the world ends.
hee hee.
Nice way to go actually.
According to theory, the closer you get to a black hole, the more time slows down.
If your in a black hole, no time passes, theoretically.
Your also probably dead [ no more physical body dead ].
I'm just having fun. Its interesting to see the cbc warning canadians about the dangers of
particle physics. LOL.
I wonder if even ONE politician could name all the quarks, leptons, and bosons.
Probably not. why?
Because you can't tax quarks, leptons, bosons.
But you can tax quacks, leftists, and morons.
Did I make a funny?

Almost, would sound better if you replaced "morons" with "bosuns"Because you can't tax quarks, leptons, bosons.

Too bad that polititians would also fail to notice that you managed to put a little "left spin" into it

Uh, no. Any black hole created by the LHC would only have the mass of the particles used to create it, and would likely evaporate via Hawking radiation in a fraction of a second.
Wrong. An external observer will see time slow down for you, but you'll still observe time passing normally for all objects that are stationary relative to you. If you fall into a black hole, you'll still see your wristwatch behaving normally (notwithstanding tidal forces that'd eventually mess it up). An observer who isn't falling into the black hole will see your watch slow down, and it will take an infinite amount of time for an object to appear to an external observer to have crossed the event horizon. Time doesn't stop.b1ngnx33 wrote:According to theory, the closer you get to a black hole, the more time slows down.

no sig because apparently quoting people in context is offensive to them.
Re: End of the world - again.
I could be wrong, but I heard somewhere that rightists pay taxes too. I guess that would put them in the same category as quacks, leftists and morons.b1ngnx33 wrote:Because you can't tax quarks, leptons, bosons.

This might be one of my last posts.
I live 13km from Cern and the site of this test. Google earth Geneva, Switzerland and look for the town of Ferney just on the other side of the airport. The ring in which they will do this test runs just north of the airport all the way up to Gex.

Just crouch down in the far corner of your basement and stick your fingers in your ears. Oh, and if all the furniture in the room starts sliding toward the accelerator run.
