Re: The Six Best Toronto Port Authority Noise Complaints
Living just North of Gerrard West of Broadview, I am regularly wakened by medevacs in the early hours of the morning.
I never complain.
When the cops were testing their helicopter which had a fuel run down to YTZ just about every night at 3am, I complained every time.
There's also the trains -- lotsa luck on that one, but much easier on the sleep patterns than a twin rotor.

I can't remember who it was who used to fly a DC-3 out of YVR in the mid 90s at about 6:30-7am it was the most beautiful sound in the world to wake up to.

Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?

Air North had the green one, and KFC the red/blue on white. Sadly both crashed with several fatalities.

As a resident and condo owner near the TCCA... I own a unit at the corner of Bathurst & Queen's Quay directly facing the airport with a 12th floor terrace.
I can say that these Community Air yahoos do not speak for me. The most annoying noise I ever hear from the airport area are those silly protesters who are still beating the dead horse every Friday afternoon.
I think Porter has a lovely airline with great service. I love the fact that I can cross the channel and be in Ottawa/Montreal/NYC etc in 1-2 hours. The Q400 is a great new plane that is far quieter than many of the smaller planes that fly in the area... and they don't really bother me either.

It's people like you that need to speak up to the city and tell them that those irritants are full of it... I only wish I could afford to live near the island. I remember on my last trip to the CN Tower in the evening, I spent half my time just watching the planes in the circuit there because it was so cool seeing them from above!Trumpeter wrote:As a resident and condo owner near the TCCA...
