I feel really stupid asking this...



I was at a party with another couple who indicated they were friends with a couple - one of whom was a WJ pilot.

The story centered around layovers and a practice known as the "twelve o'clock knock" where the flight attendants would conduct a midnight hotel bed check. The door knock at twelve o'clock could be ignored (if you were prepared to sleep) or answered, if you were prepared to be tired the next morning.

Bad cliches aside (coffee tea or me) - truth or bs?

This is better referred to as the midnight knock, and although I am sure there has been a flight attendant or two who do that, they are HIGHLY outnumbered by pilots. Usually they have "run out of soap/toothpaste, their shower wasn't working, etc etc" and needed to use the flight attendants.

Your pilot was grossly misstating the facts, probably because his wife was next to him.

anyone can be a knocker. And I guarantee you it's not just pilots, in fact, I'd say it's safe to say the FA's are the biggest perps, mostly with each other.
