The next step

Post by willing to fly »

I made the jump back into aviation earlier this year after many years in another industry. I got a job as a King Air FO and was never more happy. Just when I had thought I had caught my big break, I got a lay off notice that could last 6 months. I have nothing against going back to this company but for an FO who is eager to fly, this will seem like an eternity.
I have just under 925 TT, 325 Multi, 490 PIC, 275 Turbine. I also have a current B200 PCC, current IFR and TDG.
I really feel lost in this whole process. I know I want to stay in the air and couldn't go back to working an office for long. I just don't know what to do short of waiting out the lay off.

There are many other Beech operators in the sea. Or the Prairies. Look around the Alberta area. YYC, YEG, YOJ

Thanks. I'm really trying to stay in Winnipeg if possible. That said, I have already tossed out resumes a little further out. So far, it seems that no one is hiring.

Call Borek.

Live in YWG and rotate, 2weeks up north and 2 weeks at home.
That current 200 PPC will go a long way!

Thanks all. I stopped in to see Keewatin early in the week. They just took a guy from the ramp to fill a FO spot and aren't anticipating needing anyone for a while.

I didn't know you could live anywhere and rotate in with Borek. I'll have to do some looking into that.
