RESP for flight training?

Post by cubonfloats »

just wondering if anyone has an RESP or knows of someone who was able to use it on flight training? If so, what bank was it with? I dont see why they shouldnt be allowed to be used on flight training if its done to the commercial level.. but i would like to pull out money from said resp to go towards my float time building or at least a multi-IFR (if i do chose to do it)

I had all of my RESP's from CIBC put towards my CPL. So long as the FTU is a certified post secondary unit then you're sweet as. If the FTU you want to train with isn't ... it doesn't take much for them to get that little piece of paper. Took my FTU all of 3 months to get it at my request. You can put it towards any rating aswell.
