They just introduced a bond recently due to the high turnover rate. Its not cheap to train people on the Coffee Maker. Company introduced bond to recoup costs in the event the employee leaves before 1 month service.

Although if you come type rated, your starting salary is on a higher pay-scale

Time on cappuchino or espresso machines will improve your odds, but plan on spending at least six months changing the grinds and sweeping the floors. And just pray that some hotshot Direct Entry guy doesn't come in and take your spot 8)

I've made some B.E.L.Ts in my dad's toaster oven, and have been making Ham and Swiss' for 3 years. I've wanted to work at Timmy's since I was a kid. Can someone give me advice on where I can start? I'm willing to work for Dutchies and Blueberry Bran Muffins.

Hey!

Nothing beats taking in a huge warm lungfull of type 1/ type IV de-icing fluid. :smt030

Tomorrow I'm gonna ask If I can credit my hours on the " Trump" de-icing truck towards my ATPL. And if It would be considered PIC or Co-pilot. (I was working with a few other groundcrew)

I wish there was a logbook for ramp time in Canada :smt100

I went back and checked my ramp log book from my time on the ramp.

Number of Bags Loaded: 14,629
Number of those bags that were "Shammatta Samsonites" (garbage bags stuffed with clothes): 9,304
Number of garbage bags shipped that actually contained garbage: 1 (true story)
Number of boxes of frozen meat: 1,745
Number of those boxes that were woefully inadequate for the amount of weight and broke: 23
Number of those broken boxes that contained hidden booze: 13
Number of cases of Pepsi loaded: 9,886
Number of Bags of chips: 7,353
Number of Boxes of fruit: 3
Number of used mattresses loaded: 4
Number of STI's caught from those used mattresses: maybe 1
Number of dead bodies loaded: 12
Number of puke bags filled with urine retreived from seat backs: 9
Number of clean up jobs for puke on the carpets of the aircraft: 3
Number of those clean up jobs that were directly beside a seat that had a barf bag: 3
Number of times it was alleged that a passenger's bag was lost: 13
Number of times that that bag was black with no identifiable markings and no name on it: 12
Number of cigarette butts swept up from in front of the terminal after the thaw: 27,856
Number of passengers whose bums I had to help push in order to get them up the steps: 7 (and I'm not proud of it)
Number of kids I'll be able to have after marshalling planes which likely left the weather radar on: 0
Age I'll be when I develop cancer because of accidently inhaling de-icing fluid: 67
Age I'll be when I develop hearing loss: what was that? I couldn't hear you.
Number of teeth a woman has to have before I find her attractive: 6

Not sure if I'm missing any headings. Please let me know if there are any requirements I'm short on. :)

The Lightspeed Zulu plugs into the drive-thru till. The noise canceling works real slick and the ear phones keep my ears warm when I open the sliding window. It by far beats the ones provided. And I'll use the headset when I'm upgraded from coffee maker to right seat on Timmie's private jet.

and even still, they'll tell you most of your toasting has been done at your home base in ideal weather conditions, so it's not really the type of time theyre looking for
