Meadowbank strip near Baker Lake

Anyone know who goes in and out of there and what the strip is like ? ie twotter or caravan or B200 suitable??

Are you referring to the ice strip?

I know a few companies have taken their B1900s in there.

The strip is still under construction, but should be operational by mid Feb. They are planning on landing Convair 580 / Herculese / Dash8 / HS-748 there. It will be approx 4400' (can't remember exactly - may be closer to 5000'). Surface is coming along well, but will probably be hard on tires (sharp rocks). Be wary come springtime, it will probably get pretty uneven. There will be a weather station and unicom set up at some point soon, and runway lighting is supposed to be in the works as well. There is no ice strip this year, as there was last. Should be no problems for types listed - however I would strongly suggest contacting the camp prior to planning a flight, not sure if the blasts (frequent) are making it on to the NOTAM's these days, and there is pretty much always heavy equipment on the strip at this point (hopefully once it is operational, there will be some sort of controls put in place).

On a similar note, is there an ice strip on Ferguson Lake this year or is the new land strip good enough for the Hawkers? Is that place busy at all or has it slowed down like everything else has seemed to?
