A cheque book.....sorry, I just couldn't help myself....hehe

Re: Ornge Posting
I very much dought there will be a "pay into" training bond. A promissary note seems more reasonable. Ornge will want to attract pilots who already have time on type. The only way to do that would be to be offer a competitive pay scale and some decent benefits.
In the end however its up to the pilots to set the standard, so it could really go anyway. Dont be that guy.

Re: Ornge Posting
doc, why do you think there will be a bond? is this accurate info you have or just an assumption?

Can't find much info on their fleet. Is it only PC12? On PCC it mentions they operate 200's as well, is that correct?
Re: Ornge Posting
There are some B200s flying around northern Ontario that are painted orange and say ornge on the side. They however use Voyageur call signs. I'm sure you can figure the rest out.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

You might find one or more of us "sarcastic assholes" on your next interview board. Some food fo thought before you run around calling people you don't know, assholes........MG_ wrote:You know what would be great? You're not as anonymous as you may think.

This may come as a real shock to you MG, but I quite often post useful things here. You know what would be great? If all of you sarcastic assholes posted something useful instead of being, well, sarcastic assholes.
And one of the most useful things in my opinion is I personally would never ever consider paying cash to anyone to fly their airplanes.
However I do have the training and experience to demand to be paid when I fly...not pay them.
If you are still not qualified enough to get paid and feel you have to buy your job that is your choice, but by doing so you are driving the job of flying below that of a truck driver.
Maybe your fellow pilots would not be all that pleased to sit in an airplane with you down the road.

Yes, Cat Driver, you do usually post useful things and I appreciate that. And mostly everyone here knows your stance on the training bond issue since most of us (including myself) share your feelings.
You don't need to get on your high horse all of the time because someone appears to be taking the walk down the training bond gang plank. Not everyone knows that Ornge is asking for money up front.
I asked on the interview if there was going to be a bond and they didn,t say that to me that there was .They may but not as of now.
----- Back on Topic -----
The job ad was looking for people with relatively low time and with almost 3800 views, I'm also wondering if anyone has been called for an interview and if the position is even still open.
