Mudders Faudders Restaurant CYYC

So I was all excited to fly my CEO to Calgary for a day last month. He was busy with meetings all day so my co-pilot and I were excited we'd have to opportunity to enjoy the comfortable pilot's lounge at the Shell FBO as well as some good Newfie fish n' chips for lunch down the road at "Mudders Faudders Restaurant".

To my shock, the restaurant was shut down! What the %$&@! When did this happen? Why? and does anyone know if they relocated somewhere else?

Mudder's shutdown about two or three years ago. Haven't seen if they've reopened, but with the way Calgary's rental rates have been, probably not.

Try "The Flight Deck" instead. That's a joke. The worst service and most disorganized restaurant I've seen in a lot of years. Maybe a good candidate for Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares?

We're losing a few restaurants lately.. even my favorite burger place, that I've been going to for over 20 years, finally closed its last location. Sigh.. :cry:

Yup, that's where we ended up after we realized our fish & chips craving would go unfulfilled. Oh well...

I ate Wendy and my co-pilot ate Tim for lunch. ;-)

Try KoKo's Bikini bar across from the Wendy's on Mcknight and Aviation Blvd.

The Flying Beaver on the south side of YVR
The Cafe in Qualicum Beach is great since the new owners
The little lunch shack in Courtenay Air Park is tasty
The burgers in Moosene are good

I've got a soft spot for the vietnamese village. It's over sort of behind the safeway offices by the outlet mall on the west side of the airport. Good Pho, inexpensive and they always make fun of privateer when he goes in there with us! hahaha
