Is that the one with the chick from Baffin (YFB maybe??)?

She’s built like a Steakhouse, but she handles like a Bistro.
Let's kick the tires, and light the fires.... SHIT! FIRE! EMERGENCY CHECKLIST!
Having a standard that pilots lose their licence after making a mistake despite doing no harm to aircraft or passengers means soon you needn't worry about a pilot surplus or pilots offering to fly for free. Where do you get your experience from?

Also an excellent choice.

That was always my favourite movie as a kid. If you compare Beetlejuice played by Michael Keaton, to Heath Ledger's joker, the resemblance is stunning.
I can't believe noone has mentionned Hot Shots! or Airplane. Unbelievable, two of my favourites for sure. MacGyver: the Lost Treasure of Atlantis, also tops the list.
Interesting... I had not considered your Heath Ledger hypothesis, but I can see your point.
I am also a fan of Alien and Alien II... then stop watching!! It goes down hill faster than an old ford.
Haha... I was gonna mention that was well. It's Aliens, not Alien 2... and yes, the rest did suck.

1.Black Hawk Down
The two Delta snipers makes me tear up with pride every time.
2. Fight Club
"You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world."
3.Dirty Harry
Harry Callahan is the “complete” crime fighter hampered by those around him who want to observe the niceties of Miranda and are willing to negotiate with criminals.
4. The Lost City.
Fidel Castro and Che Guevara are shown for what they really are: fascistic, destructive, murderous thugs. Ought to be required viewing for any moron caught wearing a Che t-shirt.
5. Breaker Morant
Three Australian lieutenants are court marshaled for executing prisoners as a way of deflecting attention from war crimes committed by their superior officers. All this, so that the English Government can show that they are "civil" in fighting an uncivil war.
6. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Hysterical…. all about family, 'nuff said!
7. The Lives of Others
The most masterful (IMHO) dissections of Communist totalitarianism ever made.
8. Forrest Gump
A total slam on the intellectual left and the 60's. Forrest shows that smart is not the same as wise. Black Panthers, Aids, drugs, nihilism...products of youths too smart for their own and their country's good. Gump is the anti-counterculture hero.
9. No Country for Old Men
The Wilford Brumley speech near the end is worth watching over and over again as it makes clear that even if at the end of your life you are crippled and your coffee pot is full of 7-day-old coffee, you will be most fulfilled if you indentify and fight evil.
10.Can’t decide…..Jerry Maguire, Rocky, Die Hard or Steel Magnolias
I love that speach. This one day all the boys from the neighbourhood they stopped and carried my mothers groceries home for her, you know why? Respect.
I am proud of each and every one of you for not mentioning top gun. thank christ.

Really???? Isn't that a flick about some dude who got kicked out of his paintball league for cheating.... he wiped the splatter off his clothes or some shit.
I guess the thread is favourite movies, not best movies.
