The most junior captains in YYZ or YUL were hired in 2000 so I would say they are well into their 30s. Most junior captains out west were hired in 1990 so they likely have teenage kids and an enlarging prostate!

There's a whole bunch of 22-25 year olds.

The company finally figured out the job wasnt rocket science, they could fly the plane as well as anyone else and were much more likely to work for 37K a yr since in most cases it was a sidestep in pay or a manageable pay cut.

jazz did not begin operations in 2001. the brand was created in 2001. the history behind the airlines that eventually merged to become what is known today as jazz goes back decades.
