Radar looks pretty bad but environment Canada doesn't seem to know for sure.

What do you think?

Southern Ontario btw.

NavCanada doesn't do forecasts. Environment Canada does.

I heard about this on the radio this morning... 10-15cm today.. 10-15cm tomorrow and like 30 on wed, and how the roads are going to be horrible, and people are going to be crashing and dying. All i can think is.. B.S.

Yes it's gonna snow, but the media is most likely blowing this thing outta proportion. The radar/sat images doesn't look good, but http://www.weather.ca is showing about 10cm of snow over the next 24hours for both windsor and toronto. Yes it's gonna snow a bunch, but i can't imagine its going to be what the radio is making it out to be.

Considering that every time a major storm is hyped it fizzles out...

I was watching some of the NY city locals today and the northeaster that was brewing down in the gulf is charging pretty hard north and covers a pretty wide swath...

I guess a lot depends on how it tracks and whether it moves east more than north...

Either way, spend Sunday afternoon tuning up the snowblower (I've got a monsterous driveway in the country) making sure the dragon will be ready for one of the last sorties of the winter (I hope).

Last report I saw said the drive home will suck with snow overnight and throughout tomorrow with amounts around 20cm. Nothing crazy, but enough for those who cant drive to cause grief to those that can

Once again......you're kidding right? When you say " big snow storm over Southern Ontario" is that by Torontonian standards?

Yesterday and today the TAFs' and radar show zip. Nothing more than a low pressure system moving in which will bring low cielings and vis but light snow accumulation at best.

Although it only takes a few snowflakes to bring Pearson and Toronto to it's knees, so we will see.
