video files

Post by groo »

I have this fancy schmancy new camera that shoots cool video's and I have shot a couple landings that I want to e-mail, but I think they are too big (the St Barths one is 28 meg), how do I do it?

Please type slow as I am a techno idiot, and it may take me a while to figure it out. I won't be offended if you over explain.

the files are .mov files playing on Quick time. I am running a pc.

Thanks

RiverPast Video Cleaner is a program that will convert the .mov file into any file type of your choice. Once you have converted it into an .mpg or .wmv or .avi file, you can edit it with Windows Movie Maker.

There are obviously better video editing programs out there, but Movie Maker is free with WinXP and it has most of the stuff you'll need for a simple video edit, including transitions, captioning, etc.

Once you're done editing, Movie Maker will give you the choice of saving the file with various options, including one "optimized" for e-mail.
