I was waiting my turn in line behind an AT-6 Texan ready to wow the crowd. Somehow I think the P-51 stole my thunder though...

Good question. Keep in mind two things:This was you flying an air display in Canada? I thought that was verbotten?
That Pitts was purchased at the insistence of TransportPitts? With an "N" registration?
YeahInteresting choice of registration numbers

Some looney tune (not me) changed the registration tono record on the NTSB site under that registration.
Thank you - that is the first intelligent comment I haveShouldn't it be green?
Yeah, I flew the 450hp "John Deere" green and white starburstIt would look better in formation with the Stearman then!!
Yes.By the way, does this headset make me look fat?

Its all about where your center of gravity sits apparently. Short people tolerate G-loading better than tall people. Its also why, on average, Women tolerate it better than Men.Roger was short and dumpy and really fit.
Brendan was tall and somewhat slim.
All other things being equal - and they never are! - the amountShort people tolerate G-loading better than tall people
There's laws against that Hedley! You can make just about anyone barf by putting them into your clotheswasher on cold for 45 minutes.
Sigh. The more experienced and skilled a pilot, the less G he needs toyou now need to use more speed and five G's to be able to compete at the Sportsman level!

If you'd have called it "Binky" I'd have understood...Hedley wrote: Instead,
I put the name of the aircraft on the side of it:
PALE HORSE
But I'm not sure why I bother, because not ONE SINGLE
person has ever understood that
Death Rides A Pale Horse

To tell you the truth, it makes you look a bit like Peter Besenyei. you can take that as a compliment as he may not look all that dashing sitting in the cockpit but he sure knows what to do while he's there! Peter only uses the cloth helmet due to "G" management issues so I'm wondering why you use the headset on top? ANR?Hedley wrote: By the way, does this headset make me look fat?

My last application for a FTU OC has not really been completed yet.Hedley,
Great pictures! Two questions though:
1. This was you flying an air display in Canada? I thought that was verbotten? Next thing we know Cat will be operating a FTU in Canada!
Oh dear, that leaves me outOh by the way I will of course share all correspondence with the great unwashed out there.

Not really Michael because you are an ordinary Canadian citizen working under the dictates of the ruling class in Tower C in Ottawa.Oh dear, that leaves me out
