Netbooks

Reviews say Samsung and Asus lead the way with their products. Anybody have one? How does the Atom processor compare to the Centrino brand?

I've only heard good things about the ASUS brand of netbooks. Many manufacturers are starting to pick up on the demand.

Personally i'd recommend checking out CNET for technical comparisons, and reviews. Plenty of information there that is helpful.

Myself, I have an Eee PC (so I'm abit biased). Acer is supposed to have decent ones as well, but i've only had bad experiences with them in the past.

Somewhat insider info here but if you are looking to buy a Netbook, I would recommend you hold off until you can buy the netbook with the Nvidia ION package.

The current Intel Atom processor is great but the integrated video solution is garbage. What good is a netbook that can't play youtube video?

Once Intel Atom mates with Nvidia ION THEN the netbook will be an actual contender.

That should happen very soon.
