You have to have a multi-ifr to fly a king-air, but a degree doesn't matter in the 703 & 4 world. And hours trump it in 705.

What about survey flying jobs and such where it may be possible to fly AND participate in the operations?

Ahhh...of course I'm not putting snow angel on my resume! I would hope that my future employer does look at whether I can hack it or not and not just at my name on Av Canada.

I'm confident in my aviation experience as well as my previous work experience in the bush. I was raised in the bush by a logging contractor and most my previous work experience is comparable to what you describe as "the bush mentality". I already have a damn good resume and plan to add a bit more to it before I go out looking for a job.

I am open to all areas of bush work as well. Heck, I'd fly sea planes, skis, wheels, tail draggers, medevac, crop dusters, water bombers, charters, tours, a broom...whatever I need to to stay out of the airlines!

Survey type jobs are definitely an option. I know of a guy who has a contract to fly around and count cariboo. Hey, it's flying!

I just want to mention I'm doing my CPL at airhart and now have 120 total hours and a seaplane rating. I was able to get a student loan. Thanks for all of your advice.
