Avianor

Post by palebird »

Anyone know what is happening with Avianor/MAS at Mirabel? Heard they have a 777 in the old Transat hangar but they have been kicked out of one side of the hangar to make way for Pratt and Whitney.. with Zoom gone and the downturn wonder how they will do this winter...

I believe you speak about Techni Air 2000.
They got the Sunwing line maintenance contract
at YUL. I believe they'll be very busy this winter
with the BIG Sunwing expansion.

Yeah they are part of that group. Sunwing may help them out but I wonder how exposed they were to Zoom as unsecured creditors are getting nothing..

From what I've heard they are still in business, they are starting work
early september in the Nolinor hangar.
Can I ask you who are your sources?

Just heard that Empire laid off another 100 some people in Rome, NY, that is one of Avianor's big customers, things can't be going too well..
