Professional Receptionist?

What is a Professional Receptionist?

Is this their way of saying they don't want pilots applying hoping to move onto a flying position?

I also love the touch of the chinese characters

Job Description:
AirSprint Inc., Canada痴 only coast-to-coast Fractional Aircraft Ownership Program is currently seeking a polished, professional and experienced Receptionist to join their growing team. This is a permanent, fulltime position.

Responsibilities and Duties:
柊nswer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
膝reet and communicate with all clients and visitors effectively and professionally.
筆aintain professional appearance of the front reception area.
筆onitor all kitchen and office supplies. Place orders when necessary in compliance with the company痴 policies and procedures.
桧pen all in-coming mail and courier packages, date stamp all items and distribute to appropriate staff.
柊rrange all outgoing mail and courier packages.
姫rovide general support as requested, including basic accounting duties and data entry.

Qualifications:
筆inimum 5 years related experience working in a receptionist or customer service role.
柊 positive, upbeat, enthusiastic person who is able to communicate effectively and professionally.
髭xceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
百elf motivated individual who can work with a minimum of supervision.
百trong work ethic.
菱igh level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
柊dministrative and data entry skills to assist with accounting duties.
Post secondary schooling is an asset.

I think that is exactly what they are saying. It doesn't usually instill a lot of confidence in your clients when the person answering the phones last week is the one who is flying you to palm springs this week.

Why are they posting here if they don't want pilots, use workopolis or monster. They will find a lot of qualified candidates. I think they're looking for pilots that can fill this position for minimal wage.

This position is not for pilots. One of the reasons why this is posted on Avcanada is because pilots tend to know other people (friends / significant others) who also have a passion for aviation, but do not fly airplanes. Not sure what is up with the non-english characters.
