Simple. Explain you are busy on those days to the second company. Even explain to the HR you are doing a prelim for another job. But are not hired. Whoever hires you first is where you will go.

Don't screw up one chance, when neither are guaranteed. Work both till an offer is on the table. That is not dirty or dishonest. It is reality today when guys need a job.

Tell second company you a have scheduling conflict. I'm sure they could fit you in after the ground school.

I can speak from experience (not aviation related) but always keep both doors open until you are inside on the otherside. Much like what was just mentioned. Then you can close the other. Until a contract is signed nothing is guaranteed.

+1

If either one of the company really wants you, they'll make you stay there. Be honest with them. Shows character and may yet develop another reason for them to hire you.

I think Brown Bear is right. Its better to be honest and straight forward. It says alot about your character.

Nolinor's salary is actually a joke too for FO's. 30K per annum.

I once went to their interview and it lasted 1 hour only. Could you not ask them to book your interview in the early morning or the after 4 pm?

yes indeed, but they dont have the same requirements and their ops are funnier ie: bush, gravel short icy rwy, a contract in africa, etc etc, no seniority system.

From what I know, Pascan might more stable job as far as schedule goes. On the other side Nolinor is probably the perfect fit for the one that has no restrictions for schedule. Next thing you know, you're gone for 2-3 months at the time, it can be fun at first but believe me the novelty wears off pretty quick, especially when you have no incentive what so ever for beeing stuck in the congo for 2-3 months....Good learning experience either way, it jut really depends on what you want to get out of your job and what you're ready to sacrifice for it as well.

FO salary pretty crappy anywhere in QC, quite pathetic...

Clark Kent

As anything changed with Nolinor? Can you still be gone 2-3 months at a time? In average, how many days a month can you be home?

cheers

Hey there. While the schedule is still tough, we've added a lot of pilots to the group, and we don't do any African deployments these days, so worst case scenario, you spend a few weeks in Kitchener rotating through Iqaluit every second day. Lots of hours, and good, safe, equipment to drive. We're adding to the fleet, so now's a good time to come visit. -DaveM
