Does Westjet have an unspoken age limit?

I was just wondering....I just applied for the first time at Westjet. My thing is that I am no spring chicken...most likely a summer chicken now. Just out of my thirties and no heavy time. Aviation was not my first occupation so I am older than many with the same hours I have. My Multi turbine IFR (1200hr)time is not too bad. I have 700hr Multi PIC, 2000 PIC, 2800hrs TT. I work professionally as a Captain, full time in an IFR environment. Would I be considered? Perhaps DaveP or anyone in the know could help shed some light on this for me? I would love to retire with Westjet one day. thanks.

I was 35 when I was hired. There was another fellow that was in his early 50s in my Groundschool. Age is a minor factor at best. References and flight hours are more important.

Just out of your thirties? That would put you near the average age for new hires. Plenty your age or older.

I agree... age not an issue. You will be competing with guys who have a load more Multi PIC, though.

Twinpratts: I kinda figured that might be a deciding factor more than age. I have about 2000 Total PIC though, would that help? The time is building, just not as fast as I would like. Seems like I am aging faster than I am building time. Well here's hoping!
