Montmartre, Paris
Will be in Paris starting the beginning of April for three days.
Any suggestions on things to do, good cafes or restaurants, things to see?

If you are staying in Montmarte, pack a picnic and go hang out on the steps in front of Sacre Coeur just before dusk. Great spot to see the city from as it gets dark. They even have entrepreneurs selling cold beer. (Or bring your own if you want to go cheap) Avoid walking up the steps in front of the Basilica, when I was there a bunch of Senegalese guys where rather aggressively selling bracelets at the bottom of the steps. Just climb the hill on one of the streets beside the grounds and come down from the top of the hill. Paris is a blast, have fun.

Wander the streets of Montmartre at night and watch the locals park their cars; it's a sight not to be missed! They quite literally park anywhere they can make room for their vehicles, which means bashing into the vehicles in front and behind until the space is large enough.

Ah yes, parking in Paris ... boggles the North American mind! Parking in Europe is seriously different than here, but nowhere more apparent than Paris.
If at all possible, tour the Palace of Versailles. Incredible--both the gardens & the palace! 700 rooms & not a single loo! And savour the atmosphere on the Champs-Elysees from a side-walk cafe ...
Best undertaken with someone special beside you.
