I can only assume that you didn't happen to read who posted the avcanada link above you.
A URL to another post which answers the questions asked is kind of what a moderator does. If I were to call you a name that offended someone to a point, she'd probably put me in time out. Also by saving the bandwidth of so many useless posts, we are saving Avcanada money.
And once you get to know Lil you will quickly find out that her "real life" job is pretty important.

Awe shucks, Nark
But since KAF doesn't appear to get all the love he needs from NAV CANADA, I have responded to his request for action, before heading off to earn the money to pay for my internet connection.

Re: Required reading for pilots
The FAA have a number of great publications you can download and read.
http://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies ... /aviation/
The Flight Safety Foundation have great resources. I recommend the Upset Recovery tool.
http://www.flightsafety.org/home.html
Jeppesen's Aviation Weather is an excellent book.
Jeppesen's Turbulence is also a great book for understanding 'nasty' weather.
Mechanics of Flight, 9th Edition by A.C. Kermode (plus his Flight Without Formula)
Handling the Big Jets by D.P. Davies
Aircraft performance is a must. Books on this subject can be found all over.

Great book list there Kirsten - I'll bet you're sorry to have to let them go ... Looking forward to getting my copy of "Flights of a Coast Dog" - been hearing about this one for years, about time I read it!snoopy wrote:You can find some great books here:

Thanks Kirsten, I hope you enjoy! Sad to part with the books but very glad for the reason - so - hope others will pick items out of the library too! Some good deals there, and I enjoyed every book. I'll be adding a few more titles, once I get the information from my "librarian" (Dad!).
