you got some nerve buddy, you call ME ignorant and say this is what's wrong with this industry?,then you ask what waffling means!!!
you call yourself a professional ,but yet you don't know how to spell it!
so you showed it to ten of your friends and they all agreed with you ,did they?
i think they were just humouring you {Or trying to keep their jobs}.
ame's should be at 90k-110k /per year to START,then it goes up from there.
Q.A. should be paid around 40k-50k/per year and top off at maybe 55k.
that's all Q.A. is worth.

ha, ha. ha. I am ignorant because I have not heard the term waffling???....nor is it in the dictionary. And its a damn good thing this was not a big report I was writing....because yes, I did make a typographical error! But I am a "professional", because that is how I conduct myself...."professionally", unlike some in this industry who are miserable, but do nothing about it.... but bitch! Just like people who bitch about the government, but did not bother to show up and cast their vote! Are you one of those people???
Also, for the record, I am an AME first!!! I handle the qa functions in the shop, simply because of my exceptional ability to memorize and interpret the CARS.....but I am not a paper pusher.
Simply put, why could you not just ask me to clarify??? No, you had to make an insulting remark about QA guys. And believe me when I say nobody at my shop is worried about making the QA guy happy. We are a small shop of 12, and everyone actually like their job!!!!

the other 2 people would be the receptionist and myself you fool! I did not want to expose her to this dispicable display of professionalism. BTW it was a typo...I dont need spell check.
Since I appear to you to be the inmature person in this debate, I will grow up and leave it at this. If you want to be a 100k man, act like it!

$30-$4o/hr. depending on the many variables. experience...skills....shifts....employer etc. This is based on Toronto area costs.

QA Guy
That seems pretty fair at the higher end.It is just to bad that the YYZ area is so g-d dam expensive. Thus i have chosen to live up north and work on a rotational job else where.

o.k. casey, you want to be serious, let's be serious.
i'm entering into my 27 year in aviation as an AME {less apprenticeship},i have 12 endorsements, all heavy, nothing small.
i made more money in 1999-2000 than i do now.
30/hr is a joke.
40/hr is where it should start.
please allow me to take the time to say this IS my last post as i have decided to take
my retirement from aviation.
i will be heading to my cottage soon{on the fatboy} and aviation will become a distant
memory for me.
i can't deal with the "new" mechanic types any more.
if i try to have some fun,i get accused of being unprofessional or my voting rights get
questioned or i get called a fool!
no problem,i will leave the shortcomings of this industry in the capable hands of the new generation AME'S.
to pat richards and others,i have enjoyed your views and post's even when the know-it-all's
didn't get what was being said!
at least i can say i didn't cause a crash during my career.............hope you guy's can say the
same when your time comes.

brv signing out.
