I believe that there is a saying for this from Europe somewhere: Plus ca change, plus la meme chose.

Every year, the Canucks play like the teenage girls of my youth - full of promise and tease, delivering nothing but frustration!

Go Habs!

Are the Canucks playing that good or are the Blackhawks playing that poor?

Great game last night. Lou let his team down (again) and didnt play close to his potential. Im a HUGE Hawks fan, but its never fun to see a Canadian team go down. Its the Hawks year and the only team that could have stopped them is out (Caps). They played an awesome game last night and they are firing on all 8 cylinders this year. The Hawks havent held up the cup since 61..Ive waited my entire life to see the hawks win..This is their year!

Better luck next year to the Canucks. They played well, the hawks are just a machine this year and very much on a mission.

The Habs are still the giant killers and dont count them out! They may pull another miracle tonight! GO HABS!!! (after all they are Canadian`s).

Time for the annual resurrection of this thread.

Another 7 goal blowout at the hands of the "Hawks. An important game and Lou failed to rise to the occasion. Again. Are the Canucks ever going to go to war?

They dicked the game up to the Hawks. If it were any other team I don't think it would have had the same impact.

You are right, it was just one game and we will see how they respond tonight. Close out the series with a solid 2 way game and get ready for the next round.

No team has come back after losing 3 straight in Stanley Cup Play Off history...all the noise you hear right now is just from people jumping off the, " bandwagon " ....soon, we hear them all jumping back on...everyone wants to be on the winning side. Fair weather fans. Not many would have predicted Canucks over the Hawks four straight.

Incorrect.

3 Games: Philadelphia Flyers, 2010
The Philadelphia Flyers began their second round series against Boston with three losses, and were one goal away from elimination in game four before winning 5-4 in overtime. After two more wins to tie the series, Philadelphia fell behind 3-0 in game seven, but came back to clinch the series with a 4-3 victory.

3 Games: New York Islanders, 1975
After opening their Stanley Cup quarterfinal series with three losses to the Penguins, the Islanders put together a four-game streak, completing the comeback with a 1-0 win in Pittsburgh.

3 Games: Toronto Maple Leafs, 1942
In what is still considered the NHL's greatest comeback, Toronto defeated Detroit in the Stanley Cup Final after losing the first three games by scores of 3-2, 4-2, and 5-2. The Maple Leaf comeback began with a 4-3 victory in Detroit, and continued with a pair of convincing wins: 9-3 and 3-0. A record crowd of over 16,000 packed Maple Leaf Gardens to see Toronto take the Cup by beating Detroit 3-1 in game seven.

They pulled him after another 2 and then the Schnids let in another.

Raffi Torres sure woke up the beast in the Hawks.

They dicked up one game and already these questions are coming up?
Now they seriously dicked up two consecutive games in high fashion against the defending 'Cup champs (albeit a wildly different team than last year). Lou sucked it bad under pressure in the big game as he has done for the last three or four years. Can he possibly start in game 6?

Vancouver has an impressive consecutive home arena sell out streak. Balance that against the President's Trophy recipient's first round playoff eviction. Vigneault, your call.

TheCheez, please advise when such questions will be appropriate.
