PK Aviation - Australia

Post by Dashfixer »

Anyone had any dealings with this company - they posted looking for Dash8 guys for work in the Pacific region. Wages look decent for a change. Which then leads to the question are they too good to be true ;)

1) I've never worked for PK aviation, but i was in contact with them.

2) That ad is almost guaranteed to be new guinea.

3) Ask yourself why they have to advertise in a far away place like Canada? There are many LAME's in Aussie, just across the sea.....See where this is going?

Hi Everyone,

I just come across this thread and wish to comment so you can understand what is happening.

Yes the job is in Papua New Guinea.

Yes the salary is correct.

The position is for DASH 8 Q400 Avionicss and there are not many qualified AMEs free at this time in Australia or NZ (at least people who answer our advertising as we DO NOT headhunt). The customer has numerous people from Canada working there and in fact they hire from world wide so nothing is too far away.

My company is an aviation only recruiting company and I am a Licenced AME in Canada, Australia and PNG as Avionics. I work 28 on / 28 off in PNG on DASH 8 and when home in Brisbane my wife and I run the company from our small hangar on the front of our website.

Please guys, if you have any questions relating to something, please email me at any time rather than raise doubts as to the authenticity of my job positings. Unlike some other agencies, if I go to the trouble of raising a job, it is a real job, not some way to get more people to register on my site.

If you have the qualifications desired by the customer, please contact me to discuss the position as it is required to be filled urgently.

Best Regards
Paul Strike
Owner - PK Aviation

Paul worked in Canada for years. That's why he advertises here. He knows what he's getting, plus I don't think it really matters where you live to get in on his contract jobs.

He always meant well when I knew him in Canada. If you want to go work on a twitchy, HIRF connector nightmare like a Q400 overseas, then check it out.
