May 17 GS ( 2009 )

Post by Franky Jr »

OK, is there anyone out there who was told that they were successful in the interview, sim and medical test last spring and that your gs had been planned for may 17/09 but had to be cancelled. So they said that you were part of this hiring pool. So my question is about this hiring pool, was it strictly the girls in Halifax telling you that your are on the list verbally or did Jazz send you an offer letter of some sort telling you that you were successful and in the the pool??

Yeah, it does seem a little "up in the air."

Myself, I feel like, that whole interview procces to me, was a blast. I remember about a 19May09 GS. What I got out of that was a really good feeling of the whole experience. Definately possitive and the air was light.

With the newest developments in this company, I must say, you have my attention.

The best way to know for sure would be to call HR and find out. Most places that have a pool, will also have a time limit, that once exceeded you will have to go through the process again. I imagine if you were successful the first time you would have an advantage, but things change over the course of a year, you could have a violation or incident on your licence that needs explaining etc...
I would call just for piece of mind, I wouldn't assume anything because I'm sure that since you were told you're in a "pool" you stopped updating your application. Let's say this list goes missing, how are they going to know you're still interested.

Has anyone, who were told they would joining the next groundschool been called back for an interview, or told they would receive a call soon? I wonder how many are still interested from this pool?

I was one of "those" people who was told that May 19th 2009 was the ground school date, but has been
cancelled for the time being. I have been in contact with HR a couple times since, but still have no idea
if I am in a "pool" or not. All I have done is re-applied and updated my resume.

Does anyone know if they will call the "group or pool" of people first who where already through the interview
process last year? Or would they likely start all over again?

Any reassuring info is greatly appreciated. :D

I would guess there was some pretty low time people in that ground school. However, I bet the average experience they are getting in applications this spring is a lot higher.

If they were hired last year but the g/s was cx'ed, Im sure they will be put in the first class, doesn't matter if they receive applications from higher time folks. Im not sure how long they keep the "pool" active, so I would just try to stay in touch with HR. Good luck to all!
