Another incident for the club...

Not long after landing this morning at YBW saw one of CFC's 172s off the runway. Once again, strong gusty wind (15kt Xwind at time of landing), and a solo student. Thankfully the student wasn't hurt this time. No CADOR as of yet...

Narrative: The pilot of C-GZHN, a Calgary Flying Club Cessna 172 was conducting circuits on Runway 25 at Springbank and when Tower cleared him for a touch and go, the aircraft exited the south side of the runway east of Taxiway Delta. The aircraft rolled into a ditch across Taxiway Delta and stopped in the grass. There was no reported damage.

It was windy again... It smells like the same kind of accident that occurred not too long ago. I wonder if it was a solo student ? Same instructor ?

This ought to be bad for Calgary flying clubs reputation!
