Order No. 2010-A-323
June 8, 2010

SUSPENSION of Wasaya Airways Limited Partnership, by its General Partner, Wasaya General Partner Limited carrying on business as Wasaya Airways's Licence Nos. 962523 and 967232 in respect of the domestic service, medium aircraft and the non-scheduled international service, medium aircraft.

File Nos. M4210/W211-1
M4210/W211-2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wasaya Airways Limited Partnership, by its General Partner, Wasaya General Partner Limited carrying on business as Wasaya Airways (Licensee) is authorized to operate a domestic service, small aircraft; a domestic service, medium aircraft and a domestic service, all cargo aircraft.

The Licensee is also authorized to operate a non-scheduled international service, small aircraft and a non-scheduled international service, medium aircraft, to transport traffic on a charter basis between Canada and any other country.

The Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) finds that the Licensee does not hold a valid Canadian aviation document in respect of the domestic service, medium aircraft and the non-scheduled international service, medium aircraft.

Pursuant to subsection 63(1) and paragraph 75(1)(a) of the Canada Transportation Act, S.C., 1996, c. 10, as amended (CTA), the Agency must suspend the licences in respect of the domestic service, medium aircraft and the non-scheduled international service, medium aircraft.

Accordingly, the Agency suspends the licences in respect of the domestic service, medium aircraft and the non-scheduled international service, medium aircraft and provides the Licensee with 30 days to show cause why the licences should not be cancelled.

CTA Order No. 2010-A-323

I don't think it affects them with a Dash 8-100 (37 Pax as I recall).

Taken from the CTA website.
"Medium aircraft" means an aircraft equipped for the carriage of passengers and having a certificated maximum carrying capacity of more than 39 but not more than 89 passengers.
It does, however, give some clues as to future plans.
