I once had a buddy play a prank on me on my neophyte days as a pilot.
>Ring!!! Ring!!!<
Me: "Hello?"
"Hello, is this Mr. Panama Jack?"
Me: "Yes"
"Hello, my name is John Smith and I am with Transport Canada. We have received some reports and suspect there have been some violations of the Air Regulations on your part and . . . . . "
At this point my hearing started to fade. I started to feel weak and dizzy.
ME: "Uh, hold on. I just need to sit down."
I lay flat on the bed next to the phone and the ceiling above me started spinning.
"Hey Buddy!!! It's me!!! Eric!!!"
Me: "Huh?"
"It's me Buddy!"
Me: "Uh, Eric. Let me call you back." >Click<
Took me a few hours to recover. Not funny.

Agree with the previous post > Not very funny
If the passenger in the back does not know how to fly, who know what he could have done
maybe just yank hard on the stick
When I bring people up for a joy ride, that is what it is a a joy to be there and experience the freedom of light
In a two-seat tandem aircraft of this class (looks like a Citabria) there are almost always controls in the back seat, towards which a panicked passenger (cameraman) would at least look down.
Even if one is to believe that this screaming cameraman instead continued to film in this manner, check out the difference in audio between his screams and his comment after the recovery.

He also cut the power before nosing over, but these things only suggest that he didn't actually faint (which we know), but not that the passenger knew he remained in control.
Can anyone find additional evidence suggesting the whole prank was staged?

Like GPFG wrote, check the updated Youtube description And definitely, the screaming is over-reacted.
ok so I spoke to Patrick, he doesn't mind me posting and the OFFICIAL line now is, this IS FAKE! both patrick and his friend were in on the joke because it is inconceivable this could of ever possibly been real & like this no-one gets in trouble XD
I laughed, but I would probably not do that to any of my passengers
